Joomla! 1.5 + VirtueMart template installation

The following instructions will help you to install Joomla VirtueMart template:

1. Installation

For successful template installation, please do the following:

1. Enter the admin panel of your website.
2. Go to Extensions -> Install / Uninstall
3. In the Upload Package File click Browse, find the template archive and click Upload File and Install
4. After the upload of the template that may last several minutes, you will see the message of successful upload. Click Continue.
5. After that, you will see the template manager window, where you can set the installed template as default one for your site. Select the template from the list and click Default icon. Alternatively, you can apply the template to selected pages of the site by selecting the template and clicking Assign icon and choosing the pages from the list that will appear. We do not recommend you to apply the template for selected pages, as the templates that we offer require specific settings of the Joomla modules, and these settings will affect the view of all templates already installed for your site. Please read below about setting up the Joomla modules.

2. Setting up the Joomla Modules

1. In the admin panel go to Extensions -> Module Mamager
2. Apply the settings of each module according to the table below. Modules and their settings that are not mentioned in the tables should not be changed – we recommend leaving them as is.

Banners

Most templates include the banners. Of course, you will use other banners instead of the default ones, but we recommend you to replace default banners with the banners that have similar color scheme. What is the most important is that the new banners must be of exactly same size as default ones. Otherwise, the design may get corrupt.

Notes

1. “Virtuemart Module” is required for other modules from Virtuemart set. Don’t forget this. You may unpublish it, but don’t uninstall it.
