The minimalist movement began in Switzerland and now is applied to different types of art. This style become one of the most favorite styles.
Generally minimalism is a trend in art. The gist of this movement is simplicity and uniformity of forms, monochrome, creative self-restraint. There’s no subtext and subjectivity in minimalism.
Only traditional, neutral colors, simple geometric forms, arranged, distinct and straight lines are used. Today you can find the minimalism anywhere: painting, sculpture, theater, movie, interior design and of course web design.
Simplicity, elegance, lightness of the space help us to feel ourselves more comfortable and free. Minimalist sites attract a lot more of visitors and consumers, because simplicity is a guarantee of website popularity.
The key phrase of minimalism is “less – is more”.
