Plug-ins or extensions help to increase features of your browser and extend its functionality. With their help, you can turn a simple viewer of web pages into a powerful tool for web development.

The latest versions support Google Chrome add-ons and now, thanks to this, each user can add the missing functions to his browser. You must update your browser to the latest version and then select the required plug-ins. Number of these extentions is close to 14,000.

This is certainly not that huge list of all possible extensions, which offers us the FireFox, but among these 13.000, you can easily find more than one dozen useful and necessary add-ons. In this article we have selected the most necessary, in our view, plugins for Google Chrome.

Speed Dial
The extension adds a browser tab for quick access to favorite sites. The number of cells and their style can be configured as desired.

Chrome Flags
The plugin displays in the adress input line a flag of the country where the site, which you are viewing, is physically located.

Favicon
This extension adds an icon if the site in the SERPs Google.

SmoothScrol
The extension adds smooth scrolling of content in browser(using the scroll or keyboard).

AdBlock+
Analogue of the Adblock Plus plugin in Firefox. Allows you to block banner ads and other unnecessary advertising on the site.

FlashBlock
Extension blocks all flash-content pages and only plays video by clicking on it. There is an analogue with the same name.

Firebug Lite
A simplified version of the Firebug plugin for FireFox. Plugin allows you to view, edit and debug HTML, CSS and Javascript.

MeasureIt
This plugin adds an icon of the scale into browser toolbar, which can be used to measure the image size, spacing and any other content pages.

Web Developer
Analogue of the popular add-on, which is developed by the original author of the plugin for FireFox, with lots of different functions and features.

Resolution Test
Extension allows you to test pages at different resolutions. In the settings you can choose any resolution + create your own.

Eye Dropper

The plugin allows you to see any color of the page or select it from your own color palette.

Google Mail Checker Plus
Extension automatically scans the content of the mailbox on Gmail, and show the number of unread messages.

The plugin shows the number of unread items in the rss-subscriptions. It only works if you are logged into your account.

iReader
This plugin allows you to read the articles in a more convenient format, removing any debris that may be distracting.

Addition which allows you to make a snapshot (screenshot) of the entire page or any part thereof. Then, through extensive functional of this plug-in, the picture and the signature can be made, and also it is possible to draw rectangles, circles, arrows and lines.

QuickSearch
This plugin adds into browser a search icon, by clicking on which we can search for information in such services as Yahoo, YouTube, Bing, and eBay. Also this list can be completed independently.

Google Reader RSS Subscriber
Shows rss-icon in the address bar for sites with the possibility of a subscription. By clicking on it rss-feed of the site opens.

Google Translate
The plugin translates the contents of Web pages by pressing the button on your browser. There is a choice of translation type.

LastPass
Extension is a free online password manager and auto form filler, which will help to study the Internet in more secure and convenient opensway.
